About the Summit
The International Trails Summit is a joint event hosted by American Trails and the Professional TrailBuilders Association (PTBA) and presented every other year.
The 2023 International Trails Summit was the first jointly hosted event and its success built upon decades of American Trails’ International Trails Symposium and PTBA’s Sustainable Trails Conferences. This inaugural event brought together more than 900 people for three days in Reno, NV and featured the first off-site day. Every other year, PTBA hosts the Sustainable Trails Conference, a smaller more focused conference.
